Magpul Ronin Project – In mid 2009, with the demise of the Buell brand by Harley-Davidson, the founders of Ronin Motor Works, in a design exercise conducted at Magpul Industries Corp., created the Ronin Concept Motorcycle. That initial Ronin Motorcycle concept is now brought to life through the design and manufacturing efforts of Ronin Motor Works as a limited release of 47 bikes.

Considering that most other sportbike manufacturers are topping out at around 200hp mark >> it will be interesting to see what H2R can do on circuits and what de-tuned street version will be capable of.

“Krugger” Bertrand is Belgium’s motorcycle builder inspired by the iconic pre-War BMW R7. He uses jigs and cardboard mockups to get the lines right, taking the Japanese approach of observing where shadows fall, and playing on the contrast between light and dark. “NURBS is a mathematical term meaning ‘Non-Uniform Rational B-spline,’ a concept developed in the 1950s by engineers looking for a way to replicate freeform surfaces in car and ship design.” [more info]

Dainese D-Air jacket

Dainese D-Air jacket detects a crash it can deploy the jacket’s airbags in a 45 milliseconds. The onboard system can connect with two jackets, so people riding two-up can share the protection.
The combo went on sale in Europe earlier this year, and it still awaiting approval for the U.S. market.
